Getting a volunteer grant
There are various organisations offering grants and stipends to assist international volunteers with the living (and travel) expenses related to volunteering abroad, including volunteering with Pisco Sin Fronteras.
If you are interested in long term volunteering, we encourage you to apply for these and continue your own search, as this list is not complete. Please contact PSF administration for information that would be needed to write a concise and correct application.
Omprakash Foundation’s Volunteer Grant
The Omprakash Foundation is the fiscal agent of hundreds of international volunteer organizations, including Pisco Sin Fronteras. They consider applications for the Volunteer Grant on a quarterly basis, and will consider applications for volunteers who have already started their service with PSF

Interexchange Foundation’s Christianson Grant
The Christianson Grant is awarded to individuals who have arranged their own work abroad programs. Proposed programs must be at least six months in length and emphasize a work component. The grant is only available to US citizens, ages 18 to 28. There is a $50 application fee.

Jessica Jennifer Cohen Foundation
The Jessica Jennifer Cohen Foundation seeks to provide financial assistance to benefit young adults to enable them to perform community service that otherwise would be financially difficult or impracticable for them to do.

Burners Without Borders Community Grant
This is the third year for the Burners Without Borders Community Grant Program. The goal of this program is to stimulate community projects by engaging YOUR community.

Go! Overseas Volunteer Abroad Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded based on the creativity and analytical thinking displayed through writing samples and/or video submissions. Volunteers can apply once working with PSF, but note that the scholarship is only awarded in September.

Pulitzer Center on Crisis Response
The Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting provides travel grants to cover hard costs associated with upcoming travel for an international reporting project. Our ideal project offers print, photography, radio, and video.
